A small private therapy practice
A safe place to land, and someone to walk alongside you.
You do not need to have it all figured out to begin. Whether you are moving through a transition, carrying a loss, or simply stretched thinner than you would like, we start where you are and move at your pace.
Reaching out takes two minutes, and you never have to share health details to do it.

Values
What you can expect here
Three things shape every session: a real connection, a space that feels safe enough to be honest in, and a companion for the walk rather than a director of it.
Connection
Therapy works because of the relationship, not the technique alone. You get a real person across from you, paying attention without judgement.
A safe place
Confidential, unhurried, and free of pressure. Whatever you bring here is met with steadiness rather than a rush to fix it.
Walking alongside
You set the pace. I bring the training, the questions, and a steady presence while you decide what changes and when.
How I help
Areas we can work on together
Most people arrive carrying more than one of these. We will sort out together where to begin, and adjust as we go.
Relationships
Communication that keeps circling, boundaries, family patterns, the work of staying close.
Grief and loss
Death, divorce, a version of your life that ended, and the long shape grief takes.
Stress and anxiety
A body that will not settle, worry that runs ahead, exhaustion that sleep does not touch.
Parenthood
The identity shift, the guilt, the isolation, and holding your own needs alongside theirs.
Self-worth
Quiet self-criticism, perfectionism, and learning to be on your own side.
About
About Jennifer Ciferni
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in New Jersey. I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Rowan University and my MS in Counseling from Cairn University.
I work with children, teens, and adults who are navigating a season that asks more of them than they have to give. My approach is relational and practical: we make sense of what you are carrying, notice the patterns that keep repeating, and practice something different where it is safe to try.
Sessions are collaborative rather than prescriptive. There is no script to follow and no timeline you are behind on. If something is not working in our work together, you can say so, and we will change it.
I see clients from 8 years old into adulthood, and I also treat depression and mood disorders. The treatments I use are evidence based, so the care you receive is grounded in approaches that research shows can help.
You are not a problem to be solved. You are a person to be understood.

Three steps, at your pace
There is no commitment in the first conversation, and no obligation after it.
- 01
Reach out
Send a short note using the form below, or call if that is easier. First and last name, the best way to reach you, and a good time to call is all I need. Nothing clinical, and nothing you have to explain yet.
- 02
We talk
I will get back to you within 48 hours to arrange a free 15-minute phone call. We cover what brings you in, what you are hoping for, and whether I am the right fit. You can ask me anything.
- 03
Your first session
If we decide to work together, I send you secure intake paperwork through my client portal. You complete it before your first session, so our time together is yours to use.
Intake paperwork and scheduling happen in a secure client portal, never through this website.
